This useful console command customizes your HUD by changing the display of players alive on each team from showing each of their Steam avatars to just showing a number for how many of each team is alive.

Syntax
cl_hud_playercount_showcount [0 / 1]

Description

This useful console command customizes your HUD by changing the display of players alive on each team from showing each of their Steam avatars to just showing a number for how many of each team is alive.

How To Use cl_hud_playercount_showcount

  1. Enable the developer console in Counter-Strike settings.
  2. Open the console with the tilde key (~).
  3. Enter cl_hud_playercount_showcount [0 / 1], replacing bracketed arguments with the value you want, then press Enter.

This legacy command is not currently listed as compatible with Counter-Strike 2.

Syntax And Arguments

cl_hud_playercount_showcount [0 / 1]
0 / 1 Use a 1 to change the playercount menu to only show how many players are alive for each team. This can save room on the HUD. Use a 0 to show Steam avatars. 0 is the default setting for this command.
